Use Autodesk Forma for Construction in multidisciplinary MEP collaboration

Module overview

Discover how Building Information Modeling (BIM) supports collaboration between MEP designers and other disciplines using Forma Data Management and Model Coordination in Forma for Construction. This module introduces shared workflows used to manage design information, link models for spatial context, and maintain consistency across multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will focus on using Autodesk Forma Data Management and Model Coordination tools to identify spatial conflicts between MEP systems and building elements, navigate the 3D web viewer, and master the workflow for resolving coordination clashes back within your Revit model.

This material is from the course Introduction to BIM for MEP design.

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Collaborate using Forma for Construction (education).
  • Link and review multidisciplinary BIM models.
  • Navigate the Forma 3D viewer to inspect Revit models.
  • Perform model coordination to identify clashes between trades.
